Mary C. Murphy

Mary C. Murphy is Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Indiana University and Founding Director of the Summer Institute on Diversity at Stanford's Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences. As founder and CEO of the Equity Accelerator, she works with schools and companies to create equitable environments. Her pioneering research on motivation and performance earned her the 2019 Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers — the highest U.S. honor for early career scholars.
