Caroline K.
“My clients gain clarity and confidence through big transitions, bold goals and breakthroughs.”
Before becoming a coach, I served as President of iMentor, a youth mentoring organization, for thirteen years. I led its growth from a tiny startup to a national organization serving 5,000 young people with a $10 million annual budget, while diversifying funding, building a senior leadership team, and guiding board development. I was proud of what we accomplished, but I also made my share of stomach-churning mistakes along the way. I became a coach to offer leaders a safe space and a thought partner at pivotal moments, and I strive to be the supportive, clarifying coach I wish I'd had.
Today, I coach leaders through critical transitions, high-stakes decisions, and complex challenges. My clients work across fields, including social impact, marketing, creative industries, entrepreneurship, private equity portfolio companies, and technology. I also advise senior leadership teams, facilitate team retreats, and lead peer coaching groups for CEOs and women executives.
“Caroline Kim Oh is simply the best executive coach I’ve ever worked with. For the past eight years, she has helped me to manage up, down and sideways as well as to navigate several precarious, complicated, work situations. With her guidance, I have grown as a leader and landed significant promotions as well as a dream assignment that transformed my career trajectory in a truly singular way. She has an extraordinary ability to both dig deep into the minutiae of the many things that are on my plate while also encouraging me and guiding me to think broadly and ambitiously about the future. Caroline sometimes challenges me and pushes me out of my comfort zone, but always in a way that makes me feel supported and safe. I admire the way she utilizes tools such as Hogan and DISC assessment to help her clients; and her pre-session prep is so evident. I cannot count the number of times she has pointed me to a book, article or podcast episode that is perfectly relevant to the moment I am in. She is strategic and smart but is also funny, empathetic and kind. She is someone I value, respect and treasure both professionally and personally. ”

“Caroline has been my guide through every major transition of my executive life. Her practice is caring, candid, and deeply reflective, and she pairs the space she creates for reflection with a laser-like focus on outcomes and impact. Through our work together, I took on greater and greater responsibility, built a high-functioning leadership team, and achieved our organizational goals with clarity and conviction. She also supported that team directly, facilitating many of our most important strategic conversations. In the hardest moments of leadership, including guiding my organization through significant change, she helped me lead from intention rather than from reactivity. Today, I am the kind of leader I always believed I could be––more spacious, clear, compassionate, and grounded in the values I hold dear. I simply would not have made the gains I have as an executive without her.”
