She'll review Patrick Lencioni’s concept of “First Team" leadership and will provide actionable guidance for how to embody FIrst Team principles in your organization (and the boardroom), as well as advice on how to avoid the dreaded "swim lane trap." Cassie will also offer a high-level overview of what venture investors care most about in today's climate. Cassie will be joined by [Speaker], for an inspiring session on the power of continually expanding your professional network as a senior leader, after which you'll put their learnings into practice within your Fellowship clusters.

Michaela Lehr, Chief Financial Officer at ActionIQ, will walk through a typical SaaS P&L and provide a perspective on the metrics that matter most for tech businesses. This session will include interactive case studies to put your learnings into practice. You will walk away understanding how you can leverage or lead a Product team to deliver outsized impact on your most important business growth levers.
Isabelle Winkles, Chief Financial Officer at Braze, will walk through some of the most common points of contention between the finance and revenue or product organizations and will explain the financial “why” behind objections C-Suite leaders might hear. Topics will include billing terms, credits and discounts, early renewals, intricacies of software vs. services billings and more. You will walk away better prepared to proactively identify and mitigate common friction points between your department and your CFO and better equipped to build a fruitful working partnership with the Finance team.
This panel discussion will combine both investor and operator perspectives to provide tactical guidance on 1) how to best leverage your board members for support and 2) how to stand out as an executive both at your board meetings and in between them.
