She's candid that the instinct many of us share, especially in behavioral health, where the mission is personal and the need always outpaces the resources, is to say yes to everything. Gallup's research shows roughly 70% of a team's burnout risk traces back to their manager, which means a drifting leader doesn't just cost themselves, they set the tone for everyone reporting to them.
