Responding to Your Feedback

Responding to Your Feedback

From Chief CEO Alison Moore

To our Chief Community:

Thank you for welcoming me with open arms to Chief. It's been an incredibly fulfilling few weeks as I’ve settled into my new role. I’ve had hundreds of conversations that speak to the power and potential of our community and I’m excited for many more to come as I continue connecting with you.

I recognize—and take seriously—that you’re making an investment with us. It’s our responsibility to ensure that your investment always delivers real, tangible value for you as a business leader.

With that in mind, I want to share what we heard and how we’re responding to feedback you shared in the survey we sent a few weeks ago. There’s much more to come as we continue innovating across the experience. This is just the start.

Before diving into the details, I wanted to share a few words on the power and potential of Chief — and our ongoing work to maximize your membership — from my recent virtual meet and greet with members in late March.

You can view the full conversation here and a shorter snippet below.

More Ways to Connect: Adding More In-Person Events & Community Connection

  • We heard how much you crave in-person events and want even more. To start, we’re excited to expand ChiefX to 9 cities —Atlanta, Dallas, Boston, Chicago, Miami, NYC, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. We’re also planning conversations with communities in our largest non-clubhouse markets to discuss how we can tailor the experience to better serve your needs.

EXPANDING CHIEFX TO 9 CITIES

  • What is ChiefX? ChiefX is our series of in-person events designed to empower you as a senior leader through inspiring keynotes, dynamic mainstage conversations, and fulfilling ways to connect as a community. Remember, you can attend any (and all!) ChiefX events with your membership. Space is limited, so RSVP soon!
  • What’s new this year? We’re hosting ChiefX in 9 cities beginning May 5 in Atlanta. Then we’ll head to Dallas May 15, Boston June 5, Chicago September 16, Miami September 25, NYC October 6, Washington, DC October 21, Los Angeles November 6, and San Francisco November 20. In select cities, members can bring a guest—so you can share the magic of Chief with women leaders in your network.

ELEVATING CONNECTION IN OUR NON-CLUBHOUSE CITIES

  • What cities? Our largest non-clubhouse communities are Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Charlotte, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Miami, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Seattle and their surrounding areas.
  • What are we doing for these markets? We’ve heard some communities want more tailored programming and predictable scheduling. We want to dive into the needs of each market. To start, our Community Leadership is going to host virtual conversations in these communities to hear how we can best serve you. They want to know event topics you’re most interested in, scheduling preferences, and close the loop by tailoring your programming to meet local preferences.

More Ways to Learn: Refining Core and Expanding Leadership Content

  • We’ve heard how much many of you love learning from each other in Core — and we also know there’s room to improve the fit and format to better serve everyone. We also heard a call for more leadership content across the experience. We're making focused improvements in each of these areas.

ENSURING THE FIT AND FORMAT OF CORE WORKS FOR EVERYONE

  • What are we doing? We’re always testing options and exploring how we can scale what’s most effective. We’re beginning to implement these changes to the Core experience:
    • Introducing content themes to complement peer advisory — so there’s added structure to the discussion.
    • Refining our grouping algorithm to better ensure you’re placed with true peers.
    • Expanding co-located groups beyond our NYC pilot — we ran a successful pilot in NYC where members were all based in NYC. Where feasible, we’re exploring how we can expand this concept beyond NYC, so that members in our largest markets have the option to connect in person and deepen relationships beyond Core.
  • What’s NOT changing with Core? We know Core is transformative for many of you. It’s never our intent to change what’s working for groups, so we’ll only make changes when it’s necessary. Want to share feedback on your Core experience and explore one of these changes? Reach out to [email protected] and they’ll be happy to capture your thoughts to share back with the team.

ADDING MORE LEADERSHIP CONTENT

  • What’s planned for Executive Education? In case you missed it, we just announced our latest Executive Education content led by Duarte, a renowned (and woman owned!) communications firm and Alexandra Carter, negotiation expert, acclaimed professor, and longtime Chief favorite. We’re continuing our partnership with Wharton and launching a new Board Readiness series in July with more to come.
  • What’s planned for Leadership Content? We’re developing more content to support your timely decisions as business leaders. Up next: we’re rolling out a new series on Leading in Uncertain Times this spring.

More Ways to Stay Informed: Strengthening Communication & Transparency

  • We heard we need clearer, more consistent communication and transparency from me as CEO and from the company overall.

ENSURE YOU KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING — AND YOUR VOICE IS HEARD

  • How are we strengthening communication? We’re refining how we communicate—by embedding what’s happening across the community into all of your touchpoints with us—so it’s easier to know the resources available to you. That means we’ll provide salient updates at Chief events, in clubhouses, within Core meetings, and more. We want to make sure you know what’s happening — if you have any specific feedback on the best ways to reach you, we’d love to hear it at [email protected]. You’ll be hearing from me regularly in the CEO seat — sharing where we’re headed, the opportunities and challenges ahead, and the exciting areas where we’re planning to innovate.
  • What happens with my feedback? We know we have not always closed the loop when you share feedback with us. We’re changing that — you have our commitment to provide a feedback portal where it’s easy to share your thoughts and a team that will always close the loop with you.

If you have any questions or additional feedback on your Chief experience, my team and I would love to hear it. Reach out to [email protected] and I or a member of our team will loop back directly with you.
